I'm Excited to be Back!

Updated: Oct 1, 2023

It was a productive hiatus...here's an update.

This is my current writing (and happy) space where words come to fruition.

Often times, creating a new space or reorganizing an existing one is like reinventing yourself and your writing goals. I know it worked for me.

It goes without saying that I've been busy writing in my spare time to fulfill my supporter's and fan's wishes. Now when I'm asked about my next book, my answer is, "I'm working on it."

Financial literacy is my passion.

If I could travel around the world talking about financial literacy, I most certainly would. Until then, I will use the resources available to me, including my webpage, to reach as many families, children and educators as I possibly can. Why? Because they deserve to learn about financial literacy. This is my mission, and has been for several years now.

Lucky for me, I'm told that I did a fabulous and effective job with my book, "Lolita's Rainy Day." When children share their stories with me of how my book inspired and motivated them to earn an allowance and save their money, it's affirmation of a book well-written.

It's for this reason that I continue writing about financial literacy. My approach is keeping it real. I'm not looking to complicate the topic. As we know, life is complicated enough these days. I am known for teaching the facts and telling the truth, all while keeping it simple and basic.

You see, there are steps to financial literacy when it is being introduced for the first time. Take, for instance, basic math. We first learned arithmetic before being introduced to algebra, geometry, calculus, etc. No one should be made to feel overwhelmed when wanting to learn something so important and necessary that affects and determines their financial future.

I'm a believer that financial literacy should be a staple in every household. It should be discussed openly and honestly, regardless of the amount of money on the table. Let's be candid about it, and give children the opportunity to learn. They too deserve to have a clear understanding of the meaning and importance of money, the key to financial independence on a rainy day.

Moving forward, I will continue to dedicate my blog posts for everyone to read. I would hope that the parents, adults and young adults it reaches, will be thoughtful and kind and share it with their children, and everyone else they feel could benefit from it.

And, if you're a teacher/educator, please share my webpage (and/or book) with other school faculty as well. After all, financial literacy is for everyone!
