My New Spring Endeavor
Updated: Feb 27, 2019
I am eager and excited to share with you the great news!
As many of you know, my children’s book, Lolita’s Rainy Day began at Bay Path University while working on a project. Since, I have had the support and encouragement of Dr. Carol A. Leary, President of Bay Path University and many of its faculty and staff.
While attending several of Bay Path University’s annual Women’s Leadership Conferences in the past, I met many inspiring and successful women. I know firsthand how empowering and impactful the speakers and events can be! Because of this, I made th decision to be an Exhibitor at this year’s conference, which will take place on Friday, March 29th at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA. This is the biggest step I have taken since publishing my first children's book. Yay!!
My goal is to reach as many of the 2,000 women (and men) who attend the conference and remind them of how important it is for young children to learn financial literacy. I hope to encourage them to open a dialogue in their homes and at schools, which can be done in a fun, interactive way using books, games and videos.
This past weekend I shared the news with my mother who cried when I told her that the lovely and distinguished Rita Moreno, our Puerto Rican idol, is the keynote speaker. We recalled how Ms. Moreno played a role in the movie, Singing in the Rain, and another as Lola/Lolita. Could this be a coincidence or fate? I‘d love to personally ask Ms. Moreno!
I now understand why this year’s Women’s Leadership Conference is the perfect platform for my largest marketing event yet. Well, "WHY NOT ME?"
