Back to Where it All Began
Last month I had the honor to be the Emcee and a Presenter at Bay Path University's One Day to Today 20th Anniversary Celebration. The room was filled with over 100 alumnae, award recipients, faculty and guests, bringing the level of excitement to its highest peak. It was quite an emotional day for me, as it was nearly a month away from the three year anniversary of the publication of my children's book, Lolita's Rainy Day.
I am forever grateful to Bay Path University for the education and experience I gained, and for allowing me the opportunity to share my story with my alma mater at this very special event. It was not only an honor, but a privilege to me to be able to once again tell my story and thank those who were there for me from the beginning, rooting for me and encouraging me nearly every step of my journey, even to the present.
The stories told by the other women were touching. Each described how their careers have taken them on paths they never dreamed of before attending Bay Path University. It was clear that all the women shared a common ground, love for their alma mater.
It was with a high level of confidence that I used my voice in a special platform where it all began.
